Info from meeting with MTA retirement Rep. concerning the retirement process.
Dear Colleagues: Please find attached Robert Whalen's Retirement Presentation for review . A reminder if you are planning on retiring at the end of the year, keep in mind that you must let the Superintendent know by November 1st so that you do not lose out on earned contractual benefits. I am still in discussions with Superintendent Jacobs about relaxing that November 1st deadline to inform the district due to the uncertainty of the early retirement bills still in committee at the state legislature. As soon as I have a response, I will let you know. Thanks Joe
