Clarification that the COVID-19 Emergency Paid Sick Leave provided by the State of Massachusetts has ended.
Originally, the COVID-19 Emergency Paid Sick Leave was extended to April 1 st , 2022. However the State of Massachusetts sent out a letter stating that they had run out of allocated funding and would be ending the COVID-19 Emergency Paid Sick Leave on March 15 th , 2022. This means that any employee who has to take time out if work due to COVID-19 after March 15 th , 2022 will be required to use their accrued sick time to cover their time out.
